2007-12-09 08:58:00 | Hi everyone I'm running battlefield 2 on medium settings 1024x768 and it runs fine but I know my computer can run it at full settings as its always usually above 30fps on full quality. The only problem is that it stutter HEAPS at full settings so I have to play on medium because of low RAM and it runs great. Anyone have any idea what settings I can turn to high that are more video card and CPU intensive? Thanks

2007-12-10 02:15:00 | Sorry, My sig says my system specs. 768MB RAM DDR333 GeForce 7600GT OC Sempron 3200+ And my system can't run at full because of "stuttering" due to my low amount of RAM but the fps is always above 30 at full settings. I'm not very bright when it comes to undestanding which settings are the most RAM hogging.

2007-12-10 20:24:00 | mate, i play Battlefield 2 as well, it is best to have at least 1024 Ram, DDR2 ram would be nice, but since you have DDR-333 which is bit old. Your CPU is bit low as well, best to have over 2.4ghz. P4 would be fine, Duel Core would be better.. However your graphic card is fine. Better than mine.. | grahic (12930) | |
2007-12-10 20:26:00 | if you are wanting to upgrade your computer, i rather buy a new one...You could always get a decent computer from trade me....or Professional Computer store or something.... | grahic (12930) | |
2007-12-11 01:33:00 | Definately not my CPU it's rated 3.2Ghz Pentium and (AMD64 2800+). Looked it up on toms hardware. What about that hardware audio option, when I use that option I get 1/3 of normal framerate, I need that option on as I have 5.1's and I want it to sound good... :(

BF2 is particularly bad, and bf2142 is downright offensive in that it's just a bf2 mod rather than a whole new game onboard or pci sound card? |

2007-12-11 10:28:00 | Get 2 gig of ddr400 ram its cheap and will solve the stuttering in BF2. I have the game and all the addons as well so I know what it is like. Dont play it now I am playing other games instead. Update graphic card drivers, mobo drivers, bios, sound card drivers,OS updates, defrag harddrivers, don't have things in the system tray that you don't need when gaming, etc. The best option when wanting help on a game is to go to the games website and find their game forums, more fun too as your talking to gamers and they know what your talking about as they have the same game as you and can get better info/help/advice/learn/have fun etc.
