619412 2007-12-11 06:47:00 Sounds like u have the same prob as this guy (www.bleepingcomputer.com)

Try some of the fixes here.

If none of those work, it may not work with your system.

I take it the DVD was in the DVD?

So, has it stopped crashing?

619413 2007-12-11 06:51:00 Don't know the game, but it sounds a bit like somethings go a miss. Did you have to install it when you first played it ? When it does the auto run, does it give the option to install /repair. If so you may have to reinstall the game.

Looking through the HJT log the items removed doesn't look like they have anything relating to that game - all pretty standard stuff there.
Usually if a program needs to run from CD as well as being installed if it flashes like you describe a part of the install is missing / damaged, reinstalling it may fix it.

Edited: reading Speedys post you may also need to update the Directx. to see what version you have click Start, click Run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK. That will tell you what version you have.
If you go to the Display Tab, there is a series of tests you can run to see if its working correctly

619414 2007-12-11 07:42:00 Thanks for the replies and advice guys. I have downloaded the latest DirectX from microsoft and reinstalled the game 3x. I think it might be a case of tinkering around. I'll try a new power supply and maybe reinstall windows. When the game does play it's awesome. Just getting into it is the problem. I downloaded Comodo firewall and ever since then I've had problems getting into it. At least before then I could get at least to the blue screen. I uninstalled comodo as it was clashing with Kaspersky antivirus. Completely baffled now. :waughh: clevertrev (12879)
619415 2007-12-11 07:46:00 Looks like Kaspersky doesnt like anything .

It doesnt like Avast either (Kaspersky is used in Zonealarm) .

It'll conflict .

619416 2007-12-11 20:18:00 I have uninstalled Kaspersky as, like you say, it interferes with a lot of other programs. The only reason I had it is that it came in a package with the motherboard. Using AVG 7.5 instead it's free!! Still going to back up everything and flatten windows to try to alleviate some problems. clevertrev (12879)
