2007-12-09 01:53:00 | By any chance has any thing been overclocked ? Might soudn silly - but do you also have zonealarm ? located one person who said they had the same problems as yours, and it was the firewall stopping NvCpl from running.

2007-12-09 02:00:00 | no overclocking done and I don't have zonealarm | camor (10739) | |
2007-12-09 02:03:00 | And what about Ntunes?? I would check the card and make sure its in properly. The only other thing, it can be is the card itself.

2007-12-09 02:09:00 | Ditto to Speedys suggestions, only things I can locate is Over Clocking Drivers updated Over Heating Faulty RAM on Card / Card Knackered You can always try downloading Memtest from my sig, and burn the ISO image, run it from the bootable CD - just to check out the standard RAM (not graphic RAM) Update: Just 1 more thing that comes to mind - what Power Supply do you have ? It may be running out of grunt

2007-12-09 03:06:00 | If the other tests ( memory) come back Ok - lets see if we can make it fail Down Load Burnin Test Pro (www.passmark.com/) its a program designed to stress the PC and to test components, its free for 30 days as a trial, but thats plenty to do a single test, once done remove it - if the graphics are faulty hopefully it will show a failed result. (doesn't always confirm they are faulty, about 50) After downloading and installing, go to Configeration>Test Duty Cycles as shown Here (www.imagef1.net.nz), select the items as shown, make sure there is a CD/DVD in the drive or untick that option if you dont want to test that as well - then move the sliders on the graphics to 100%. Click the Gree Arrow up top, and awy it goes. When its running it will look like This here (www.imagef1.net.nz) when finished, usually about 15 mintes there will either be a big PASS or FAIL - the fail will show what it was.

2007-12-09 04:08:00 | Check this out (forums.nvidia.com) A lot of people with that infinite loop prob. Try this However then by chance I found a quick fix that worked for me. Simply taking the card out, and brushing off the thick dust that had accumulated on the board and connectors (then putting board back in) was enough to completely cure the problem. Or this I removed my nvidia drivers, restarted, pushed cancel when hardware wizard came up, deleted all nv*.* files in c:\windows\system32\drivers, and c:\windows\system32, then deleted the NVIDIA folder from my computer. now heres the thing, originally i had forceware 81.94, now when i tried to install it the message "couldn't find any hardware or software" came up right after the nvidia splash screen, and then it closed, same thing with the 81.98 drivers, so i got the 91.28 drivers and they finally worked, now i can play games like i did before. hope this helped Or this Right click-mouse over My Computer Properties Hardware(Tab) Device Manager(button) Click [+] next to System devices right-mouse on CPU to AGP Controller (or whatever your controller is called, mine was SiS AGP) Update Driver(button) Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) Next(button) Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install. Next(button) Select PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge Next(button) Finish(button) Reboot.

2007-12-09 16:44:00 | The Ntunes thing didn't work. I couldn't figure out how to use "memtest" it sent me to some CD labeling, copying program...didn't look familiar. The game is called World of Warcraft. I have talked with them and they continue to say its my hardware and 400 other people's hardware. This happened for everyone after they had made a big update to the game so im kind of just hoping they will fix it. I cant remember what power supply I have but its the original one that came in an HP a1253w and its 300 watts. I ran a power test to see what kind of power everything was using and if my PSU had room. I'm using like ~250 watt. I have read that whole thread but was either sceptical, didn't think that was my problem, or the solution didn't work. I seen the dust post but it sounded as though he had lots of dust, which I don't have any but I will try both solutions in spirit of the thread.
