| 619264 | 2007-12-09 00:52:00 | The risk isn't with the micro system (which will just output the standard ~5V USB power) but with your MP3 player itself. All MP3 player brands 'should' have circuits integrated to prevent over-charging, but I'd trust a reputable brand much more than a no-name one. Either way it probably wouldn't hurt to unplug the MP3 player (or turn the stereo off, whichever disables the USB) after around 12-15hours of charging with standard lithium battery devices. |
