620527 2007-12-12 07:56:00 I've tried installing the Medal of Honour: Airborne Assault demo on my machine. It unpacks the files, asks whether I want to install, but when I do it says it is setting up the installer, there's some hard drive activity - then nothing. Task Manager says that it is running - and I've sat and waited for a few minutes, but nothing happens.

I've downloaded it again - same problem. I even dug out a copy I pulled down a few months ago and had running on an older machine - but the same thing happens.

Just wondered if anybody else had the same problem with the demo.

620529 2007-12-12 08:46:00 Thanks Rob. Unfortunately it didn't help. My video card is definitely supported. I'm going to try updating sound drivers (I use onboard sound - Realtek) and see if that helps.

But the demo won't even install - so I'm thinking there's something wrong other than hardware compatibility.

I'm definitely not buying their game without seeing a working demo. First time for ages I've had a problem with a demo.

620530 2007-12-12 19:57:00 Drivel.
I always see posts blaming drivers and hardware for everyhting.
I had a problem installing the latest NOD32 on my home PC, all the posts went on about registry settings, reinstalling Windows (!) and other rubbish.
I found it was that it didn't like the latest Windows Installer I had installed a few weeks ago,

Take a look here for some ideas:

620531 2007-12-15 17:09:00 If you already have Ageia installed e.g. from UT3 or similar, go to Add/Remove and remove it. MOHAA Airborne will reinstall it so no problems with other games, but this should allow the game to install. Tripper3k (13139)

That worked. MoH Airborne Demo now installed.

Cheers Tripper!
