620235	2007-12-11 04:49:00	Friends, Vista taking ages to startup. In the Hijack file I see all kind of entries from the past (Motorola, even Norton that was on the comp when I got it). How can I clean my stuff up? Anything here that should not be there ? I have about 12 icons righthandside below at startup....... 620241	2007-12-11 07:41:00	Thanks guys, I have only 1 gig memeory on my ASYS S6 notebook. The only option is to chuck the whole gig in the bin and buy a 1.5 gig memory module as this seems to be the largest one available for this very recent notebook. Disappointing, shouls have gone for the Vaio TZ ....... Startup Vista Business 2 minutes, much longer than in the beginning. Will follow your advise. Thanks again Johan	hotkiwi (6379)

620243	2007-12-11 08:08:00	hi hotkiwi. as suggested by speedy... disable indexing. Start > Computer. Right click on the hard disk you don't want to be indexed. Select Properties. Take the check out of the "Index this drive, etc..." It will ask if you want to include all the folders and files - yes. Back out using OK. First time I ran it on Vista it took 15 minutes. If more than one disk or drive, will have to run it on each.	Scouse (83)
