| 620264 | 2007-12-12 06:43:00 | Are you using any sort of security on the wireless network? If you are I would delete the wireless network you have set up on the laptop and let it find it again, reconnect and type in the security key again. If the security key is wrong or somehow gets corrupted it will have the symptons you describe. |

| 620265 | 2007-12-12 06:59:00 | I have an update I can get into the router configuration from the laptop and it pings it fine, the connection is there. The IP stack is working but the DNS isn't and I am not sure how what to check next. |

| 620269 | 2007-12-12 07:58:00 | And that ip belongs to what? Is it your ISP's primary DNS server ip?? If it is, put the default router ip in Primary, and the above DNS under alternate. |

| 620271 | 2007-12-12 08:10:00 | And that ip belongs to what? Is it your ISP's primary DNS server ip?? If it is, put the default router ip in Primary, and the above DNS under alternate. I am not sure what that IP belongs too, it was set up over a year ago. ISP primary is 202.27.158.40 and secondary 202.27.156.72 Tried putting in router IP into primary and no change, same with the Primary and Secondary DNS above OK so how is the internet router connected? Can you ping the internet router or connect to it's web config? Router is wired to the DSL modem which is wired into the line This computer is wired into the modem. Yes I can ping the router and access the config from both this machine and the laptop. The IP Stack appears fine, its gotta be DNS but I don't know where to get a new one. |
