| 620403 | 2007-12-11 21:50:00 | i have a dvd/cd writer samsung TS-H5520 installed for the past year with trouble free playing of dvds via nero showtime or microsoft media player. recently after playing a slightly damaged hire dvd i havent been able to view dvds via showtime or media player. the computer screen shows "drive not ready". however when following on board solutions (ie: all programs point accessories point entertainment point media player etc i can play the dvd my question is how can i reinstate the nero showtime/media player viewing options |

| 620406 | 2007-12-12 01:47:00 | Install K-like codex (www.free-codecs.com), and use Windows Media Player to play them. Whips the arse off Nero Showtime anyday. Alternatively, use VLC media player (www.videolan.org). Have a check in the autoplay options of the drive too, (right click on the drive in my computer, autoplay tab) and make sure it's not set to automatically play in Showtime. |
