| 621406 | 2007-12-15 16:21:00 | Hey everyone. After a lot of trying myself and looking on the web, i just got too frustrated and wanted to ask some help here :) I recently bought a new motherboard GA-946GMX-S2 (my old one died :p) Anyway! I have this video card (GEFORCE 6800 XTreme) AGP 8X if that means anything. It appears that it fits in the slot on my motherboard, but i could be just wrong and it fits by luck and isn't the right one. But my motherboard won't recognize it or something. The videocard is plugged in to have power. But it won't jump on or anything. Windows won't find it and the fans won't run. Basicly nothing happens. The videocard does work on another computer so, that's not the problem. Does anyone have an idea if i'm using the right slot or if that videocard is even compatible with that motherboard? Any help is appriciated. Regards, Benny |

This is the mobo I think (www.gigabyte-usa.com) Did it say this videocard is PCI-E on the box?? Hasnt this mobo got onboard video?? |
