| 621014 | 2007-12-14 08:59:00 | Just bought one of these: www.bhphotovideo.com l for a Sony HDRHC5. Only available in the US but pretty cheap given the NZ$ is high (shipping is a killer so check if there's anything else you like on the site!) Mine turned up within about 4 days, works like a charm (just no headphone out so monitoring is a bit of a pain) but works with virtually all Sony Handycam models from the last couple of years. Sony also have the HDRHC7e with mic and headphone jacks onboard (about $1799 I think?). Both cameras use MiniDV tape but also shoot in HD - I'm sure your girlfriend will appreciate the picture quality difference! (even footage shot in HD and downscaled to SD using the camera looks pretty hot) |
