Good point, some of the connectors dont have a locating lug on the connector, if you look at the HD, there will be a slot the lug should slide into , to locate it round the right way, if your connector on the IDE cable doesn't have a lug, then make sure the the red line on the right hand side of the IDE connection is actually going into Pin 1 on the drive, the power connection will be on the right of pin 1 As Shown Here (www.imagef1.net.nz) But you can use any of the connectors on the Ribbon - this picture shows the end connector. |
