| 620986 | 2007-12-14 01:56:00 | I should mention the person at the other end has trouble turning computer on,if you get my drift. ah, in that case, uploading them to a web server will not be the best option. imo the most easiest way to send the photos is split the photos in to a number of e-mails like say 2- 3 photos per e-mail (depending on how big the photos are & if the end user has broadband. If this person has dialup (& to the sounds of it he/she will) I suggest you re-size the photos before sending them. If you use Google Picasa, it will re-size them for you :) Hope this helps :) |

| 620989 | 2007-12-14 05:30:00 | What file type are the photo's? If they are bitmap (bmp) each photo will be quite large (up to 5 megs - or more) Then it would be better to convert to Jpeg (jpg), which would reduce them to a much smaller filesize, but are still good quality pics that are also quite acceptable for printing as well. Most camera's these days I think only take photo's in the jpg format - but thats pure conjecture so don't quote me! :) Hope thats some help |

| 620990 | 2007-12-14 05:36:00 | Ezythumbs, Even an idiot can use it, I tested it on my brother, reduce that 80MB to 8MB and still have plenty of quality. After the initial setup it takes 2 mouse clicks to resize hundreds of photos. |

| 620993 | 2007-12-15 01:43:00 | If you have SKYPE you can transfer files of almost any size I just typed "transfer file " in Skype and it brought this result. How do I transfer a file with Skype? There are several ways to start a file transfer. You can drag a file directly onto a Contact that is online. You can also right-click an online Contact and select "Send File". In a multi chat you can send a file to all participants by clicking the Send File to All button. Skype then lets you select a file to send. The recipient will have to accept the transfer in order for it to begin. You can only send files to contacts that have authorized you. Looks good and simple HH |
