| 621636 | 2007-12-16 04:17:00 | If I put my XP into Hibernation the Internet connection cuts off after several hours. This is frustrating because I have to reboot which negates the whole idea of Hibernation. It loses its IP address. Is there a way of keeping connected? My SP is Xtra and use a Dick Smith ADSL Ethernet Router. Any ideas? |

| 621638 | 2007-12-16 04:49:00 | If I switch off the router for a while then on again nothing happens . I can not reset the router because I have forgotten the password . They used to have a pin hole to reset it but no longer . Instructions say return to the maker for resetting to defaults  I haven't tried removing the cable as it is awkward to get at bit will try . Someone said something about an address allocation time expiring? Xtra are no help on this matter . |

Expand USB Controllers/Double Click USB Root Hub. Select Power Management and uncheck, Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power. BUT instead of going to the above, dbl click on the network adapter then go to the power management tab and clear allow the computer to turn off the device to save power. Then see if it cuts the connection. |
