Does this happen whilst on battery or mains power?

622250 2007-12-18 20:13:00 Looks ok to me, but put HJT in its own folder run it again.

Tick these entries.

Close browser/s.

Is this laptop at work?? Or is it a work computer?

Why its on a domain.

622252 2007-12-20 01:41:00 Hi aidanmaz

After doing some research, I think Viewpoint is causing your slowdown

Please do the following

(Before starting)
If you dont have it already, download CCleaner (in my sig) first.
Copy and paste these instructions on a notepad page
Close all running progs, leaving only the notepad page open.

1. Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove anything with Viewpoint in it
(Viewpoint - Viewpoint Manager - Viewpoint Media Player)

2. Run HJT and do a scan then put a check (tick) on this one...
O23 - Service: Viewpoint Manager Service - Viewpoint Corporation - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe

and if the one Speedy said to fix is there again, tick that also
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis

3. Go to Start/run and paste these commands into the open field hitting OK after each:

sc stop "Viewpoint Manager Service"
sc delete "Viewpoint Manager Service"

4. Delete the folder C:\Program Files\Viewpoint (if present)

5. Run CCleaner and click on "run cleaner"
when it's finished reboot

Then let us know how your comp is running
