| 623085 | 2007-12-20 04:47:00 | So I just got myself one of these cards today, stick it in, install the drivers, and surprise, nothing seems to like it. Mediaportal can config and auto-tune it but no picture or sound comes up when I go to "watch TV" Nerovision freezes Cyberlink TV program that came with it can't use it either and when I try to set it up in GB-PVR, the program just crashes to desktop. So I installed it in another computer, using the same driver set and it appears to work fine (at least in nerovision anyway) - So I am guessing some kind of software/config problem on the other PC Anyone know what might be causing the problem? |

| 623088 | 2007-12-24 01:44:00 | Sounds like these leadtek deluxe tuners. The first one I'm pretty sure had the same prob as the one I've got now. Except the first one was going, but then decided to go AWOL, and didnt want to scan again lol. So, I got it replaced with another one. Which after a while, decided it didnt like the drivers, and refused to install them. Then I found out that the bloody thing had a corrupt EEPROM. Which was why it kept on bringing up errors, (it brought up an error, for the first file, and the other files installed no prob at all). Everytime I tried to install the drivers. The only diff is, it didnt matter WHAT pc I tried to get this thing to work on, (or program, I tried the program for these tuners, mediaportal, the Cyberlink one) it didnt want to install the drivers for it. And none of these programs detected it so I couldnt scan. Until, I found a dos file that finally fixed it after 6-12 mths. |

Since your using a ATi Theater 550 PRO card I assume it is just plugged into your Aerial and not a satellite. eg Analogue and not Digital. Mediaportal can record multiple channels, as far as i know most other PVR software can only record a single channel at a time. My bundled Cyberlink Powercinema can work fine with the Analogue channels but as yet it will not work properly with Optus D1 freeview digital channels. Cyberlink and Hauupage are working on the problem. Check Cyberlink website there might be patches for your card. |

Yes, just plugged into a normal aerial, but I'm not going to get multiple channels with anything since it's only 1 tuner.. but my friend's got a hauppauge 500 and gb-pvr records 2 channels at once fine with it I searched google and found that some people had problems when using it and an ATi video card at the same time (good one ATi, make your products not like each other) but reinstalling the drivers for both fixed it, so I tried that and it seems to have worked for me. I wouldn't mind trying out mediaportal if I can get it to work though. at the moment I can add the 550, I can scan (and pickup and add) the channels, but when I go to view anything it's all just black, and there is no sound either. |
