623255 2007-12-23 11:09:00 Over the last 15 years I have tried just about every tinmetracker it's possible to have. Some for me, some for clients.

The real result always comes back to excel.
1. Identify the information you absolutely cannot do without.
2. Do not add any other info to the spreadsheet no matter how pretty it looks
3. Do not add extraneous information, it's a waste of time.

FINALLY and most important.

kEEP FILLING IT IN or it's no use to man or beast

That's all true, it is just the time needed to setup something that works nicely. Adding new clients, adding reimbursables, being able to do monthly sums,e.g.
Would be nice to find some sort of template...?
I had done a very simple one in Excel but it was so simple that it wasn't realy much help.
So have I am still looking around to find something suitable.
