622986 2007-12-19 22:19:00 hi,
I have just bought a 2nd hand 4 port KVM switch, model KYS-104. It was very cheap so am wondering if it might be faulty. Also the instructions haven't been translated into English very well.
If I try using it anyway, is there any possibility that it might damage my computer?
Thanks

Thanks Not to sure if it will damage a PC(s) if the KVM is faulty - any KVM switches I have had , either 2 or 4 PC connections, when they have faultered, they simply refused to allow the connection to the PC concerned. Never damaged any PC's yet. They aren't actually powered by anything, only a switch to direct the signals to which ever PC is selected.

Thanks for the advice.
I have to make up my mind about whether I want to risk it, then.
