| 622670 | 2007-12-19 01:27:00 | I have been a fan of the Thinkpad since they first came out. I currently use a work supplied T41. What I most like about them is the "Trackpoint". No other main-stream manufacturer (HP, Toshiba, Acer, ASUS, etc.) offers this. I was looking at getting a second-hand T43p, but am concerned about longevity. Then the vendor steered me towards the T61p as new, with a 5 year warranty. I will predominately us it for RTS Gaming, Internet and email. It will replace my long serving Athlon XP/1800, 1.5 Gb RAM, 6600 GT 128 Gaming Rig after 4+ years of service (Considering turning it into a lLnux server ) It has a Core 2 Duo. Should I get a 64bit OS. i.e. Windows XP Professional 64-bit, Windows Vista Ultimate Edition or simply Windows XP Professional 32 bit ? Which is best for games, past and present ? |
