| 622565 | 2007-12-18 22:23:00 | Hey Guys. I recently bought a second hand Acer travelmate 230 laptop. I have charged it. And when i went to turn it on, the power light does not come on, nothing appears on the screen. But i can hear the fans going inside it. The CD drive works. But apart from that it doesnt seem to work. Please help me here. Thanks Cameron |

Do you have a monitor you can plug in the back just to see if you can see anything on it? And, dont get caught like I did with a touchpad that had been turned off with the Function Key . (Im still getting over that, scarred for life) Make sure the Function key has not set the Video to External Monitor . |

Even if the touchpad has been turned off, shouldnt the power light come on anyway. |

So, what lights do we have, if any? As far as I can see all we have is a fan running and the CD draw opens and closes but nothing else. Is that correct? |
