623864 2007-12-23 11:32:00 Hope there is an easy fix here. I am currently traveling and have to use a second ISP to send and receive Outlook email. The "accounts" have the new "pop3" and SMTP But I failed to select the correct account to send, Each time I select "send and receive" it locks on trying to send 2 messages. They are not in the out box and I can not find how to locate and "FIX" the error.

My workaround is to select the "xtra" send progress and stop it.

Look forward to some help.

Currently in Julia Creek, 650km on the road from Townsville to Mt Isa. Temperature during this week, hottest in Aus, 42deg, and for a Kiwi Kid, Its HOTTT.

623865 2007-12-23 17:37:00 What ISP are you using out in the middle of Australia.
You only need your normal Xtra mail account, delete any others.
Set your Xtra SMTP to send using the Outgoing server of the ISP you are connected with.

If that doesn't work just use Xtra/Yahoo webmail to send messages.

623866 2007-12-23 23:35:00 Check that you're not trying to send email with one domain across a wholly different domain (eg sending to "name@xyz.com" over the "abc.com" ISP, instead of your usual "xyz.com" ISP.)

ISP's will block this kind of forwarding because it is usually spam activity. I used to have this problem of sending Ihug email over our corporate network.

Because the issue is in your ISP's SMTP server, you will need to use authentication to log-on (username and password) so it trusts that you are not trying to send spam email from another domain.

BUT, I am aware of what you have suggested. I need to REMOVE the 2 offending emails, that seem to be buried deep inside Outlook (not express)

Interesting that Bigpond, which is Telstra (like NZ's Telecom) is the main ISP away from the population... We all know the add "we cover 98% of the population"

Cheers.
