This computer has developed a major problem since yesterday: it freezes after 5 to 10 minutes of operation. Ran memory test and the system also freezes at about 5 minutes of testing. Put in a known-to-be good stick of RAM but problem remains.

Motherboard problem?

623719 2007-12-23 08:32:00 Software problem?
Have you checked the obvious first? Take a look at what Event Viewer says, if its generic or a particular app.

And do a malware scan as well.

623720 2007-12-23 10:03:00 It even freezes when I'm doing a Memory Test in DOS mode. I therefore rule out software problem. bk T (215)
