623413 2007-12-21 06:32:00 You downloaded something illegal. And?

Thats your first warning. The next one is cancellation of your broadband account.

623414 2007-12-21 06:47:00 Pourhommenz wasn't downloading it, he was uploading ie file sharing. most likely the piracy watchdogs found his server.

however there is a remote chance that hes been hijacked and someones using his pc to hide their fileshareing.

623415 2007-12-21 08:30:00 When you use a torrent downloader ie uTorrent, Azureus, Bittorrent et al, you are uploading pieces to other clients as you download what it is that you want from the cluster of peers, by their definition you are file sharing, I suppose. zqwerty (97)
623416 2007-12-21 09:07:00 If you value your privacy online while file-sharing (let's say legally in this example) then you should enable encryption in your BitTorrent client of choice (such as uTorrent (www.utorrent.com/)) and use an IP filter like PeerGuardian (http:) or Protowall (www.bluetack.co.uk). The Tor Project (www.torproject.org/) takes online privacy to the next level with apps such as xB Browser (http:) (previously Torpark) making use of Tor access on top of Firefox to provide browser-based privacy while online.

This post is just for educational purposes and doesn't advocate piracy, only online privacy (or as close to it as possible).

623417 2007-12-21 11:06:00 Yep. Reads to me as, he was accused of UPloading, not DOWNloading.
Probably acting as what 'Torrents' & 'Limewire' call an 'Ultrapeer' A facility to be avoided like the plague! ... If you're a P2P user.
Like ...That's how you get caught !!!
