| 624195 | 2007-12-24 06:24:00 | www.realgoodvalue.co.nz I have now had 2 people contact me about these. This guy imports direct from China, sells stuff in general. The problem seems to be none of them can get into the PC because its passworded. So they tell me, I haven't gone and looked at them. Seeing as its Linux - I'd guess a root password? One bought it a year ago and have never been able to use it. The other just bought it. I told him he needed to get it sorted by the shop and if they couldn't or wouldn't help then he should get his money back. Neither of these people have any idea what Linux is, one told me the guy selling them said these were the latest thing and will be taking over and are manufactured in France. Greven and Mac-h8er, take note, I suspect there are going to be a lot of people ringing techs about these. |

| 624200 | 2007-12-24 20:55:00 | if I remember correctly Unbutu does'nt use root accounts everything is done as " su " (super user), But as you have stated you need to be able to login, check the unbutu forums as I think there is a default user setup on fresh installs. (I'll also Check) |

| 624204 | 2007-12-27 05:18:00 | All linux systems require a password to access even user accounts. I suggest that the drive is formated and the latest version is installed. I am currently using it. Its as good as windows and just as easy for a beginner to learn. Everything self installs. Latest version 7.10 |
