| 1421583 | 2016-06-07 11:11:00 | Have an SBS 2003 server with a Vista Home PC on the network accessing network files. This has worked for years but now when trying to access the server either via UNC \\server or IP get an error 0x80070005 Access Denied. I can access the network with the username and password from another PC. The username and password works from a domain computer. The user has domain admin rights. I have deleted the local network credentials via Control panel and net use * /delete The computer is not asking for network credentials and the event log on server shows it is rejecting the request due to the user name being passed is the local user and not a network user. Have rebooted server and PC more than once. At this stage I believe it is an issue with the Vista HOME PC. Ideas? |

You have to set access rights in 2 places There is a Vista networking bug that could be causing that on this single PC (given its Vista home) you may have to get around this by making a net use batch file & have that run via scheduler on startup (worst case scenario) |
