| 1421507 | 2016-06-05 22:54:00 | Hi all, First up I know this is not a PC related question, but thought someone on here might know. Is it possible to sign into the App Store on another iPad using my own ID to download a game app? The reason being, an 84 year old has an iPad, but does not have a credit card so therefore cannot get an Apple ID. I am trying to help him with it and thought he might like a card game, which he liked to play on someone else's iPad. Cheers, LL |

I just really want to use my ID for a one off, just to install only one or two Apps. I don't wish to have my ID and details on there permanently. I'll keep googling of course, and try to find something more specific. Suppose I could phone Apple and ask them! Cheers LL. :) |

You can log in, download the app, and then log out again and the app will stay on the device. Edit: it is also possible to create an Apple ID without a credit card. support.apple.com |

Cheers LL. :) Welcome to Apple :D The way it works is you assign a device to your account, ( as CYaBro posted) "you can have the same Apple ID assigned to up to 5 devices. " Once assigned you can soon remove that or any other device at any time from the settings options. I get that all the time when setting up any Computers on my account, have to remove devices. The iPad should have the same settings. 72327233 |

As far as getting him an Apple ID without a credit card, I already tried that, but when it came to the part that wanted to register a payment method, there was an option to "Skip this", it did not work for me and I could not get past it. He said he was not worried if he didn't have one anyway, because he wouldn't be buying anything. He doesn't understand much at all about how things work on the Internet. Cheers, LL |
