| 1422315 | 2016-06-30 08:36:00 | Ahhh, Thanks Wainui. I have used Mailwasher years ago but didnt realise you could get it to remember the ones you didnt want. (Russian Girls Youve just won Unpaid Invoice - etc ) I thought it was only useful to check what is there before you download. In short, I guess it gets down to being able to block an address, but with dynamic addresses, as opposed to static addresses I see a possible problem or two??? But then again I am of little understanding of these matters. :) And yes Billy, the mate said the ones he looked at were all USA spelling. Sort of a dead giveaway in NZ. |

To bounce on the pro how_to_bounce_email.htm (help.firetrust.com) Heres the Comparison (www.mailwasher.net). Thats why also its shows any attachments, so any email I dont know thats coming with an attachment gets dumped. The majority of the time it can be figured out as billy and this thread have shown simply by looking at the mails details/address etc. |

| 1422317 | 2016-06-30 22:09:00 | Dont try & bounce spam . Just dont do it . www.dontbouncespam.org "Spammers have even started deliberately crafting their spams so that they are bounced by a poorly configured server and end up where the spammer wants them by making the From address be that of the target. Bounce spam attacks can cripple the server that is picked to do the bouncing. Bounce spam will often pass right through filters since it usually comes from legitimate servers that aren't on blacklists and the headers won't look like spam. However those "legitimate" servers are now getting added to blacklists as a result of sending the bounces. " Ive seen a server brought to its knees buy poorly configured spam filter bouncing spam emails (was some years back) |

| 1422318 | 2016-07-06 10:12:00 | Well, the deluge stopped dead on 30/6/16 and there's been narry a sign of it ever since. Perhaps it was too obvious and trackable, and got shut down by the 'authorities'. I must say it has been nice to download emails and not see somebody trying to scam me while using my own email address! Cheers Billy 8-{) :) |
