2016-04-02 03:52:00 | Wasn't it the Corona they nicknamed the Corroda ( assembled in Thames or somewhere near there) I had both. A 1977 Corona and 1980 Corolla and both were corrosions..

2016-04-02 06:16:00 | I dunno about you buggers but I change my wifes car about every 5 or 6 years and buy a brand new one so I do not have to do the cam belt as well as the fan belts which should be done at the same time. Got better things to do like sinking piss. | prefect (6291) | |

2016-04-02 20:40:00 | What year is the Corolla? LL 1993. Mine and husbands are both 1996. Mine is fine, husbands burns a bit of oil - done around 260,000km. Hmmm, and sons motor on 423,000 doesn't.

2016-04-04 02:01:00 | My last 4 cars were all 90-91's . I see a pattern emerging . :-) My current 1991 laser is only on 230K , so another 100k to go yet .

2016-04-04 02:23:00 | I had a 1971 corona, it didn't rust but it was a terrible car. 1500cc of sheer gutlessness. Also killed 2 engines in it so not that reliable. But moving on I've owned an '84 corolla, great little car and very reliable. Was an Automatic though and not the best of gearboxes, with 4 people and gear hill starts were a challenge. After that I had a '91 corolla FX ZS, that was a little rocket and I had it from 30,000 to 160,000 km and only replaced a few belts and a water pump and pulley over that time. Traded it in for $2k, shoulda given it to Mum instead but the A/C was faulty and the rear shocks were getting due for replacement and I didn't want the hassle.
