| 625063 | 2007-12-27 16:26:00 | Hello, Recently (Past 4 days) I've been getting random error messages that result with applications such as MSN, Yahoo, IE and FF for losing their connections to the internet until I restart my machine. The internet still works though after I get these error messages as I can still play online multiplayer games, it just doesn't work in applications such as those. As well as the internet not working after these error messages what's starting to happen now is that the applications above won't be able to connect to the internet as soon as I turn my machine on. Infact I'm actually posting this message now through a proxy server with the aid of a program I have. But if I try to load my browser up without the proxy server I just get "Page cannot be displayed". Weird huh? I don't know what's causing these random messages so for good measure I attempted to update windows. Although this didn't work as apparently it can't find the page. As there's a lot of text in the messages I've provided links to them below, hosted on photobucket: i52.photobucket.com i52.photobucket.com i52.photobucket.com Thanks, ~Tracer |

I would open IE if this is what youre using an go to tools / internet options / connections. See whats here (if there's anything here). |

( if you want a all in one) Nod32 Trial (www.eset.com) I have worked on several customers computers with the exact same thing, This has happened with both trend and Norton security packages, the firewall for some reason wont allow traffic through, even though it has been told to. Something gets corrupted, it works sometimes then falls over and even if you disable the firewall, it is still blocking. Removed the program and bingo - worked right away. If you do try Nod, when installing, look for the setup "automatic Mode" while installing, change it to Interactive mode" that way you have more control to whats going in and out. |
