624641 2007-12-26 04:27:00 Hey, could anyone here recommend me a decent computer/electronics store who will be willing to match (or even beat) other competitor's prices? I would prefer it if it was a physical store located in Wellington. Thanks EviLClouD (12981)

Stick with reputation, quality and good after sales service instead.

I've found Noel Leemings willing to beat (local + physical) competitors' prices. If you're wanting to get a printout from Pricespy and expect someone to beat that, then you'll be out of luck.

624646 2007-12-26 08:29:00 Assuming Samsung still supplies 226BW monitors with panels made by different companies . . . .

I'm currently looking at purchasing a 22" Samsung 226BW lcd monitor and
found out on the net that there are different versions of that monitor . . . S,A,C (representing different panel manufacturers, with S version being the best)

I saw it advertised for $516 . 38 at Maximum System Ltd . I've never heard of them before but found out their prices were alot cheaper than other stores (Dicksmith, Noelleeming etc) whom sell for roughly $699  . I also didn't know their returns policy . . .

I was hoping to take that ad to a local store which will match or beat that price, as well as be able to provide me with a free 7 or 14 or 31 day return guarantee .
The reason I asked for a physical site, is so I can actually go there and purchase/return if necessary and also check the version of the monitor .

I would go to Ascent but their products come from many suppliers and it would be hard to figure out which version I would get . . . . also, they charge a restocking fee . . . which I don't like :annoyed:

Would it be wise to take the ad to Noel Leeming and get them to match the price? As well as allow me to claim a refund if I receive any version other than s? :p

p . s . I know i'm being a bit picky

624647 2007-12-26 08:36:00 Be careful with Noel Leeming Wellington. I had a warrantee repair through them and they shafted me pretty bad. Had to call in big guns to get anything done, and almost everyone there is &$(#ing incompetant. Harvey Normans are better. Check out Quay Computers too. They've been fairly good to us over the years. Also there's a place on Marion street that I noticed were selling screens quite cheaply. Thebananamonkey (7741)
