624476 2007-12-25 09:58:00 Anyone know where you can buy ethernet cable for cheap?

I used to get it from madkiwi for 20c a metre, but they only sell 50 or 305 metre rolls now it seems.

and DSE is a ripoff :illogical

624477 2007-12-25 11:30:00 Well isn't 50 metres bulk?:p  bob_doe_nz (92)
624478 2007-12-25 19:11:00 tried Teltrac beama (111)
624479 2007-12-25 20:31:00 So just hope cheap were you expecting - at 20cents per mtr - no wonder they are not selling it any more - lets just say unless you buy in bulk and I mean BULK and I mean 1000's of mtrs - thats less than half of wholesale price.

Are you saying that 50 cents per Mtr is expensive ?? Dick Smiths Price (www.dse.co.nz)

624480 2007-12-25 20:37:00 What about from QMB (www.qmb.co.nz). Works out around 39c per metre stormdragon (6013)
624481 2007-12-25 20:42:00 That looks like a full 305 Mtr roll at that price.

Then you add in postage if you are not local and can go and pick it up.

Even at DSE price its reasonable, for small amounts, and small I mean under 100 mtrs - lots of places sell it for more.

Agent - what lengths were you after ? - hell if its under 2 mtrs I throw it in the rubbish its a pain all the short bits hanging around the workshop.

624482 2007-12-25 21:19:00 The problem with the DSE price you linked to is its a clearance product only available from K rd.

Did'nt read the first post correctly by Agent saw 305m in it and thought that was what he wanted. :(

624483 2007-12-26 00:34:00 Yeah, the non-clearance stuff from DSE is $1.97 per metre which is just stupid

I think I worded my question badly, what I meant was, where is the cheapest place I can buy the cable by the metre? (not in pre-sized rolls)

624484 2007-12-26 00:42:00 Don't know where you are from, but what about your local supplier for electricians e.g. for a place like Corys (http://www.corys.co.nz/) here in Auckland they might be able to help. stormdragon (6013)
624485 2007-12-26 01:32:00 Agent - Where in the country are you ? And how much do you want / need ? wainuitech (129)
