| 624888 | 2007-12-27 08:04:00 | Possibly, as the USB reciever is Running both the KB and Mouse, from the one USB then it may not be picking up one device. Normally when trying to repair wireless devices the first thing I do is change all batteries, that way you elimate one problem area. |

| 624890 | 2007-12-27 09:04:00 | Certainly could, as I mentioned above sometimes I have had to use a wired KB/Mouse to repair the damage done by infections, either viruses or spyware. Try this - but warning, sometimes it has been known to make thing worse. Click start/run type in sfc /scannow (note space between c /s) this will check the windows system files, it may also ask for the windows CD, make sure you have it ready. If its a name brand PC ( dell or Compaq) there may be a I386 folder hidden meaning it wont need the CD. This sometimes fixes it, the other method is to do a non Distruct reinstall. But first you need to make sure the system is clean. Run a full virus scan, What I reccommend is Nod32 for AV. Spyware doctor and Spybot S& D from my sig for antispyware. Look for Speedys Sig in the posts, download Trojan remover, install, update and run that as well. While there, get Hijack this - Put it in a folder on the desktop, run it and post back the full log. If you can do this tinight I'll PM speedy and ask to look and advice - I'm finishing for tonight. |
