624851 2007-12-27 07:41:00 Before formatting the drive if you come to this I would be trying to login with the administrator account if available. You say the PC starts but fails when logging in. The user profile could be corrupt. berryb (99)
624852 2007-12-27 08:10:00 Okay, I ran Avast, Spyware docter. Avast found 40 viruses.

Ran scan disk also.

Put back in same problem, reboots.

Tried to login with different acc, just rebooted, tried command prompt
can't get in.

May do a backup and a recovery with the hidden partition.

624854 2007-12-27 08:18:00 No point doing a backup if its full of viruses.

If you've got the recovery cds format it and restore it.

I would leave it connected to this other pc, boot into safe mode and show os files go into system volume information folder

And delete whatever is here. Thats if the folder will open.

You may have to do this (support.microsoft.com)

Open my computer in safe mode, on this affected pc, and show system files...double click on boot.ini, whats it got in it?
