| 624732 | 2007-12-26 09:45:00 | I am also having another problem, if i am in "my Computer" and i click to open a drive or Cd drive it comes up with the search window, so i need to go explore to open it up.... Any ideas???? Doesnt it show a menu, when you put the cd in?? Get this and run it (www.microsoft.com) See if this fixes it, so autoplay opens a menu, if the CD has got one. For some reason, the autoplay on this decided not to work last night. It didnt matter if it was a cd or DVD. After I ran Autofix, it worked. |

| 624739 | 2007-12-26 10:32:00 | Sweet thanks for your help Speedie, the other problem i have is that hen i start up the computer, it goes past the BIOS splash screen and then comes up with "keyboard/interface error, Press F1 to resume". When i press F1 it just goes to the BIOS so i just go to the quit thingy andselect "Disgard settings/changes and quit" and then it starts up and its fine as. The person in am fixing this for is not very "computery" and she does not know what to do with that sort of thing. Has anyone got ideas on how to fix that up? I have a HP wireless Keyboard and mouse so they both just take up one usb port, because of the reciver. Any ideas??? (Should this be placed in another thread?) |

| 624740 | 2007-12-26 19:36:00 | Well, change the keyboard, (to USB if its PS/2) tell them to buy a USB kb, if its got USB ports. See if that error stops coming up. Has anyone configured the BIOS properly?? Or disable the stop on error option in the BIOS Whats this wireless kb connected to now?? Yours or the one youre fixing? If its on the one youre fixing the batteries might be flat. |
