Although Xtra's plans are relatively a bit of a joke, shop around and you won't have to make do with capped speeds. You said 200MB was enough when it only got you a third the way through the month. How is that enough? Just pay the extra $10 and you'll be happy the whole month not having to tie your phone line up to use the net just because dial-up is unlimited. |

| 625410 | 2007-12-30 00:26:00 | Has anyone else had problems like this with Ihug? iHug broadband 2 plan - full down 128 up 5 gig This month and last month I went over my cap while d/loading a few things (I save some downloading for the month end to use up all my data limit lol) There was still more than a day left both months, but my speed wasnt throttled back at all! :) It has been in the past but when it was I got the 64k which is ok for surfing still, just streaming needs to buffer quite a bit. Cant be downloading in the background of course tho. but im over the cap and im downloading at 0.89 kbs per second!!! What! - 0.89 ?? are you sure you have that right ? LOL - thats about two and a half hours for one meg |

They were most helpful when I last rang them a few months ago... worst case scenario you speak with a team leader who arranges a discount because you're not getting the speeds you were promised? I dunno, worth a shot :) |
