625528 2007-12-29 02:30:00 Got a weird thing (so to speak) with Outlook 2007.

At home I use it and it's great, the "problem" I have has to do with auto complete when typing email addresses and general typing in emails when using my work laptop which also uses Outlook 2007.

Basically what happens is that when typing in an email addresses directly into the "TO" address bar there is a 2 - 3 second delay before the letters show up and the auto complete list of previous email addresses appears.

At home I don't have this problem at all letters appear instantly as I type them and the auto complete list appears instantly as well.

Initially, we thought that it may be related to lack of RAM but I upgraded my work laptop from 1GB to 2GB of DDR2 RAM and the issue still occurs. I also did a complete uninstall of the Office 2007 but that didn't solve the problem.

A select group of us are also on a MS Exchange 2007 Server, we thought maybe that was the issue, I then migrated my exchange account back to the production Exchange Server 2003 server but this hasn't resolved the issue either.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm currently trawling the net but haven't found anything conclusive as yet.

Computer Specs:

Laptop
Intel Core2Duo @ 2.2GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
XP Pro SP2
Office 2007 Pro Plus SP1

Desktop
Intel P4 3GHz
2GB DDR RAM
XP Pro SP2
Office 2007 Pro Plus SP1

TIA

Cheers

625537 2007-12-30 06:18:00 Yes, it was the McAfee Anti virus program we use at work, which is installed on my laptop.

Thanks again
