626858 2008-01-03 00:34:00 Which did we say is the best disc....+ or - ?

Or put another way, just in case.

DVD-R or DVD+R.

Just about to nip out to Dickies.

626859 2008-01-03 00:42:00 I've gone for DVD-R, after some research. rumpty (2863)
626860 2008-01-03 01:31:00 They do the same thing. Might depend on, whatever you're putting it in likes + or -

I use both, never had a prob.

I had heard on here that one was superior to the other but can't remember which.

Seem to remember one being more versatile?.

626862 2008-01-03 02:02:00 From memory DVD+R had a slight edge quality wise but DVD-R was the most versatile. Driftwood (5551)
626863 2008-01-03 09:36:00 Most versatile? You can do the same things with both. You use the same filesystem regardless of the physical burning mechanics. TGoddard (7263)
626864 2008-01-03 11:04:00 Cicero, without going into detail which I have now forgotten, when I researched this question about two years ago, the preferred type all in all is DVD-R although DVD+R will suffice. zqwerty (97)
626865 2008-01-03 12:02:00 I asked the same question some months ago and the answer given was DVD +R.
Have a look at the site below - has some good info .

626866 2008-01-03 18:33:00 As you will all see,we have some contradictory replies, seems it is not all cut and dried.

I thank you all for taking the time to reply.

626867 2008-01-03 20:37:00 it depends on your burner, some dvd burners burn with the best quality (not burn speed) with DVD+R, others, the best quality (not speed) will be with DVD-R. utopian201 (6245)
