626772 2008-01-02 23:04:00 Yesterday I posted a Publisher 97 / 98 problem -- the 1st time I had ever used Press F1 , got those couple of excellent replies thanks heaps !

Basically , my old computer was running ME and publisher 97 and 98 . My new machine only has Publisher 97 on it , and I couldn't open the Publisher 98 files .

Have gone back to my old machine ( as suggested thanks ) and saved Publisher 98 files as 97 ones -- I didn't even know you could do that ! Wasn't real easy ( when you click " Save As " , Publisher 97 is not an option , have to 'exit' back to My Computer and do it there , at least in ME looks like you do .

THAT BRINGS UP A NEW PROBLEM THOUGH !

Publisher 98 was loaded by an ex staff member , which is why I don't have the discs . When I try and transfer any of these original Pub 98 files , now Pub 97 ( make sense ? ) to CD or USB toggle thing , I can't as I'm not the 'administrator' under Pub 98 ( presumably when Paul ex staff member , loaded Pub 98 , he entered his details , either without thinking or on purpose ! )

I can transfer any Pub 97 files as long as they were originally 'written' in Pub 97 , but none of the Pub 98 ones , even when 'transfered' to 97 .

Know I haven't explained it real well , but anyone know how to 'trick' this old Windows ME machine to let me transfer these files ?

Sorry to be a pain , am learning lot's though !

626774 2008-01-02 23:45:00 No haven't tried that -- when I click ' Save as ' , I change from C Drive ( Hard Disc ) to E Drive ( CD Burner ) or F ( Storage Device ) -- that's when it comes up with that "You Are Not The Administrator" message pottsy (13238)
