| 626226 | 2008-01-01 09:06:00 | I have been a LInux user since about 1998 - GNOME all the way until I tried PCLOS with KDE - would never go back now - main reason is that the software is more fully featured. | johnd (85) | ||

I am still using stock standard PCLinuxOS 2007 with KDE. I have both google earth and kshowmail working with it. Also have Firefox 2.0.0.11 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 working very well. Jim |

| 626229 | 2008-01-02 08:15:00 | Something very useful I have recently found out about PCLOS - the tool /usr/bin/remasterme. On my slow broadband it takes about 5 hours to update a new install of PCLOS - with this tool you can make an up to date new live CD. | johnd (85) | ||

Hi Johnd I have also dual boot install XP with PCLOS as I would like to switch over to tha later. Would anyone of you be able to direct me how I can get all my Outlook data over to PCLOS(Evolution or similar). Is there also a local(NZ) Pclos group? Thanks NT |

I have to agree: Lots of "little things" I was used to are not there and no alternatives. I do wish the 2 groups would get together instead of splitting things even further in the linux world.Mr "Gates" must love the division. |
