| 627863 | 2008-01-06 18:21:00 | Hi, I bought new PC with windows vista business installed in it. I got wireless mouse and keyboard. Before three days ago I first time press the power save button to put PC in power save mode. Immediately after putting it into power save mode I try to wake it up by moving mouse and keyboard and even try to push power button but my screen doesn't start up. I tried to change to PS2 mouse and keyboard. And tried to different CRT monitor instead of LCD. But it doesn't start anymore. I don't know, what can I do to start it again. After that I want to disable power save mode at all. Plz help. Thanks in advance. |

| 627864 | 2008-01-06 18:35:00 | So it won't turn on at all now? Vista does have issues with wireless Mice/keyboards and sleep/screen saver settings. Hopefully that's one of the things which is going to be fixed when service pack 1 comes out early next...er...early this year. If it isn't turning on at all now, a good place to start is to reset the cmos. Unplug the PC from the wall, pull the side off the case. Hold the power button down for 10 secs or so. Locate a battery on the motherboard, like this (www.techwarelabs.com) one. If there is an obvious jumper, like this (www.legitreviews.com) one (red), shift it so it shorts out pins 2 and 3, then move it back to pins 1 and 2. Plug the PC back into the power. It should start, if you said what I think you said. If you can't find an obvious jumper, just remove the battery and let the PC sit for 20 min or so, put the battery back in and try again. |
