| 627589 | 2008-01-05 19:13:00 | I was reading through a different bsod thread that derived from the same problem. What I don't understand is that if it is saying that, wouldn't that mean that are too many devices attaching to the same irql so when something tries to override it, it crashes? I don't know very much on the subject, just what I've been able to assume. I've been having this bsod for a few months now, some days it would crash me over.. and over... and over. Others, nothing the entire day. It's quite strange and yet I can't seem to pinpoint the source of it all. But what I've come to assume i that it occurs most often while alt tabbing into WoW while people are speaking on vent AND I have music playing. As abussive as that may sound, I had never had this problem in the past 2 years I've had this computer. Also I updated it's graphics card to a 8600gt last july. But problems didn't occur until Octoberish. Any input would be greatly appreciated.:help: |

If it does it again, see if it shows the name of a driver / file. Look in event viewer, see what it says under system / application (If youre using XP). Whats the specs of this system?? Ram? OS etc. |

| 627591 | 2008-01-05 20:26:00 | Well I've got 2gb of ram, windows XP is the OS, I've got a 8600gt nvidia graphics card. Not entirely sure on the motherboard model. I've deactivated the manual restart and I'll see If I can't write down a drive/file name. | CaidenPaladin17mDfDNMoS (13248) | ||

| 627594 | 2008-01-05 21:59:00 | Looks like the videocard drivers are the prob, uninstall ALL versions of the Nvidia drivers again. Use Drivercleaner (downloads.guru3d.com) Install this after u uninstall the drivers. Then run drivercleaner in safe mode. Select Nvidia, then click on start. Then delete the Nvidia folders then reboot, then reinstall the drivers again. Might pay to disable AV and firewalls while u install the drivers. If it crashes again, download the latest version of the drivers. The drivers u have maybe corrupt. |
