627268 2008-01-04 01:11:00 I'm buying a video card and was wondering if my computer has DDR ram and the graphics card says 256mb DDR3 would I still be able to use this video card with my computer? Will it be compatible? If not what is the reason?

TY in advance for any help :)

627269 2008-01-04 01:19:00 Theyre 2 different types of ram. And ones on the mobo and ones on the videocard.

It should be fine, as long as the AGP port / whatever port supports the card, it'll work.

627271 2008-01-04 07:51:00 For your computer to have DDR ram, it may be of an age to only have a AGP video card slot, make sure before you buy the card; a card with DDR3 video ram will most likely be a PCIE card  :D feersumendjinn (64)
