2008-01-03 15:41:00 | Ok, Here is my delema, I bought a game for my pc, but the access times to my dvd drive is kinda slow. I considered a new drive, but I only have one slot left for expansion and would really like to place a blueray drive there. So instead of doing that, i turned to disc emulation because it speeds up drive times tremendously. I used PowerISO to make an image of the disc, but when i mounted it and tried to play it i got an error message that read "Conflict With Emulation Software Detected". How do I get around this? Again I own the disc and i am not trying to do anything illegal. Any help on this topic would be great. Computer Specs: Windows Vista 1.9GHZ AMD Proccessor 2Gb Ram DVD/CD Writer Nvidia 512 600Mhz Graphics Card PowerISO image mounting software I'm Trying to play: Need For Speed Pro Street

I think Alcohol120 works with that game, but it is a bit expensive to buy for just one game. A nocd crack would be best if you only play single player - a lot of games check the hash of the exe against the other computers in multi-player. |

2008-01-03 21:03:00 | it maybe part of the copy protection. If you have the original disc, just play it from that. The access times usually aren't that much of an issue now, as most new games always install fully, and only require the CD for cd check/copy protection. | utopian201 (6245) | |

2008-01-03 21:24:00 | Daemon tools is blacklisted by securom. If you want to go the emulation route, you need a program designed to sidestep the copy protection. Alcohol is constantly updated to get around blacklisting. | Greven (91) | |
2008-01-03 22:30:00 | Thanks for your replies, I have tried dameon tools, alcohol i had tried but i didn't know they updated alot so might try that, don't know if nocd cracks are legal but CRACK should be a suggestion, but thanks. Now i have a new question, does anyone know of a program that can disable securom? and if you don't wanna post it on this site then you can use my e-mail here (adam_walker2005@hotmail.com) cause i swear you pay 50 bucks for a game and it should have your computer do back flips and not cripple it. I can see the pc games going down the drain like the music industry. There has got to be a better way.:badpc: | adamwalker2005 (13245) | |
