| 627164 | 2008-01-06 20:56:00 | you mention access times are slow - but i think that prostreet as well as most other games only use the CD once at the start up of the game to check you own the game and then never touch it again during the game itself? | MAC_H8ER (5897) | ||
| 627165 | 2008-01-06 23:43:00 | Your story about slow access times doesn't make sense . Even the slowest DVD drive should be fine when installing games . Maybe the drive is faulty? Most games don't access the DVD drive while active (apart from the initial CD/DVD check) . Perhaps you are not telling us the whole truth? |

| 627168 | 2008-01-07 02:17:00 | Most games don't access the DVD drive while active (apart from the initial CD/DVD check). Some games store some graphics/music on the CD. Diablo II being an example. You could try copying the files off the CD/DVD into the folder the game is installed to see if that speeds things up. |

| 627170 | 2008-01-07 07:10:00 | Ensure that UDMA is enabled for the DVD drive, that may be why it is 'slow' if it's running in PIO rather than UDMA | Agent_24 (57) | ||
