628439 2008-01-08 21:46:00 Saw this the other day (www.microsoft.com)

Its meant to let you disable certain things. I havent tried it yet tho

More info here (www.microsoft.com)

Altho I think this will work better, if you've got more than 1 user on a computer.

Or if you want to block sites, use Avast, its got the option to block sites.

628440 2008-01-08 23:40:00 I've installed Parental Filter (www.snapfiles.com) on a couple of PC's, its free and works reasonably.
You can set it to redirect to a safe site of your choice should a "no go" site tried to be accessed. You can block certain sites if required.

It has password protect - meaning even if someone tries to alter the settings you need the password, you can totally hide the program and only access with certain key strokes, and you can hide it from add/remove programs so it cant be uninstalled unless you want it to.

Hint - if you use it, don't forget the password - with out it you cant alter the settings or remove it normally.

Has this the ability to exclude all sites, unless specified?

628443 2008-01-09 04:27:00 Has this the ability to exclude all sites, unless specified? Just checked it out - the program is mainly designed to block Porn Sites, it doesn't have a Deni all and only allow these setup.

It does have a place you can add in sites to ban only.

628444 2008-01-09 04:58:00 Internet explorer has a deny all except whitelist option, but you just need to modify a registry setting to wipe it. I don't think firefox or opera have that option. Greven (91)
