628416 2008-01-08 19:10:00 Does anyone have any recommendations for an idiot-proof auto-archiving program which I can install on a linux mailserver, which can be set to automatically move email messages from one folder to another, if it's age is over a certain period of time? I essentially want a server-side equivalent to the "Auto Archive" feature in Outlook. somebody (208)
628417 2008-01-08 19:52:00 You're using Maildir right? If so, just use a bash script that checks the date on each file and moves any old ones to the new location. Use a cronjob to run it daily/weekly/monthly etc. Erayd (23)

Oh ok - never realised it was that easy.

628420 2008-01-08 22:02:00 Yep - bash can do it :D. You will probably want to use regex. Erayd (23)
