| 628352 | 2008-01-08 03:26:00 | Once I have upgraded this computer (parts are ordered, some on back order), I find myself in the somewhat familiar territory of what to do with the current mobo/cpu. Have decided the possiblity exists to upgrade my fileserver/el-cheapo media centre with the newly-spare parts. Im also thinking of making it a reasonable system this time, and adding an infra-red so I can remotely play media etc. Any ideas/recommendations for remotes/receivers? Linux compat preferable, but I will check that out |

There are several options for receivers, the cheapest being to build your own (around $15, connects to the serial port). The second-gen MCE receivers (and remotes) are also excellent. |
