| 628226 | 2008-01-07 09:23:00 | Hi I am having problems making viedo calls on MSN messanger 8.5, i have a lifecam vx3000, I will try and call a contact with a webcam, (only 1 on my list), and it appperantly connects but fails to show video and cuts us off. Does any one have any ideas, I reinstalled the camera software with latest drivers, and we tried sykpe, where my contact could see me, but he hadnt set up skype properly Thanks in advance for the help |

When I checked further, I found she had an earlier version of MSN messenger. Her choice, as the latest version always causes her computer to freeze. It worked well with the two other contacts I checked with. Hopefully, you can add a couple of reliable contacts to test with (relatives come in handy). Make sure both of you both have plenty of ram. Good luck, Marnie |

Family friends in Australia were desperate to try out their cam, at the time they were dialup. It did work, to a point...but quality was poor and I kept getting little messages about that. Incidentally, a friend in Quebec has dialup and hers is fantastic. |
