628206 2008-01-07 08:15:00 Hi all,

I've struck a problem in Word... I need to place a page number over top of a picture, which doesn't seem to be something that Word likes doing.
The page numbers are in a footer, as usual. The images are sitting on top of the footer, even though they have the wrapping set to 'behind text'.

Anyone know a workaround for this?

I'm using word 2003, as a side note. I probably could dig out a legal licence for 2007 if i have a look hard enough at my mothers place, if that makes any difference.

Cheers

View --> Header & Footer --> then click in the header section and select add page number from the hovering toolbar

I haven't done this in a few years, but i just tested and it seems to work on word 2003

you will probaby want to go down to the footer and delete the page number that appears there

628208 2008-01-07 17:57:00 One thing to avoid is using tables as a workaround - there are known problems with MS Word with page numbers in footers that have tables (forget the details but I have struck it before). My workaround for you would be to put the page number in the header! ledzep (1441)
