628430 2008-01-08 19:31:00 Hi Folks. Vista defaults to the new Mail programme which I am happy to use.
However, when using Word 2003 and wishing to email a document the shortcut defaults to Outlook 2003 which I do not wish to use.
Am looking for help in finding instructions to change the default.
Have had no luck so far. :(

here goes (I use outlook so this probably wont help)

But Start --> Control Panel --> Internet options --> select the "programs" Tab

down the bottom of this tab there is a button that says "Set Programs" click on it

A window should come up called "Default Programs" , click on set your default program
then in the list that comes up Windows Mail should appear

click on it and select set as default every damn thing thing it is suitable for, and hopefully it should solve your problem

I can't test it because my system works the way i want it to, and i risking changing any thing :)

If that doesn't work then i think it may be a setting in office

let me know how you get on
