| 628994 | 2008-01-10 01:34:00 | 1, I have a new acer inspire laptop 1gig ram 1.7 processor, it has vista and i would like to revert to XP. is this drama or can i simply put in my XP disk and away it goes? 2, Can Comand&Conquer that comes on the disk be played on Vista? No you cant install XP over Vista. It wont work. You'll have to refomat and reinstall XP. Thats if u have the XP cd. You'll have to see if there are any drivers for XP for this laptop. And if the drivers are on the Acer site, download them, if u do decide to go back to XP. 2, Can Command&Conquer that comes on the disk be played on Vista? Dont know, never had either. Try it, see what happens. Altho, whats the point if you want to install XP? |

Some PC/laptops can be rolled back to XP, you need a XP CD , then format the drive and XP Product key, but Before you do anything, go the manufactures site, in this case Acer, and look to see if they have XP drivers for your model. if not , you can generally still have a work around, depends on how much searching you want to do for drivers. What Model Acer Laptop is it ? 2. - Personally I Don't know:lol: Maybe some one who plays the game can tell you, some one will answer that for you. Note: just did a quick google search and many results say yes it will. |
